Jerry started his career in consulting and placement with a multi-billion dollar national firm. As an individual producer, he consistently managed over 20 consultants on multiple projects. As a Division Director in Nashville, his team consistently maintained over 55 consultants on key projects at premiere Nashville companies. He was promoted to positions that ranged from a national business development director to a regional manager responsible for the IT, financial and creative divisions in Houston, San Antonio and Austin, Texas. In October 2002 he founded Vaco Resources, which merged with Continuum Search in January of 2004 to become Vaco. Jerry served six years in the U.S. Marine Corps reserves before he spent four years in the audit division of Arthur Andersen. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor's degree in accounting.

Jay started his career in public accounting in the Nashville audit practice at Arthur Andersen. In 1997, Jay left Arthur Andersen as a Manager and started the senior level accounting and financial consulting practice in Nashville for an S&P 500 staffing and consulting firm. He has spent the last six years with this firm serving in management roles ranging from Regional Manager of Consulting Services, Business Development Director and Division Director. As a Regional Manager, he was responsible for the consulting operations in seven states. Jay holds a Certified Public Accountant Certificate and is a member of the AICPA. In addition, he has served on numerous committees at both the state and local levels of the TSCPA. Jay holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee.

Brian has over eight years of experience in accounting and project placement. Brian spent four years in the audit division of Arthur Andersen in the Atlanta and Nashville markets where he specialized in the manufacturing and healthcare industries. Brian began his career in placing financial and accounting project consultants in 1999 with a multi-billion dollar national firm. As the Division Director of the Nashville operations, Brian was responsible for leading a team of account executives in placing and managing CFO and Controller level consultants on special project and interim assignments where they consistently ranked amongst the top five offices across the country. In November 2002 he founded Continuum Search with Jay Hollomon, which merged with Vaco Resources in January 2004 to become Vaco. Brian graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor's degree in accounting.

Nan began her career in public accounting with the Nashville audit practice of Deloitte & Touche. As an audit professional, Nan worked with clients in the insurance, manufacturing, entertainment, and services industry. Nan received her bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting and her masters in Accountancy from the University of Tennessee. Nan joined Vaco as a recruiter in 2005.

Layne Cagle has a total of 22 years experience in recruiting and staffing, 20 of these years in the Nashville market. She began her career in Atlanta, Georgia with an independent staffing company that specialized in large project management. She relocated to Nashville in 1984 and joined what would become the 4th largest staffing company in the world placing hundreds of candidates over 18 years. For the first ten years she placed permanent positions and managed that division with up to 4 other consultants. The ensuing 8 years she placed permanent and staffing candidates in some of the larger companies in the area. Her expertise covers administrative, accounting, professional and call center placement and she was consistently a top producer for this global company.

Jennie started her career in permanent placement in 1994 with one of the largest international recruiting firms in the U.S. As an individual producer, she consistently ranked among the top 10 producers in the country within her organization. Prior to moving to Nashville, Jennie lived in Chicago for 11 years where she worked for a multi billion dollar insurance organization. Jennie attended Northeast Missouri State University, now called Truman University. 

Scott has over 9 years of recruitment experience specifically with senior level software developers, architects, DBA's, software Project Managers/Analyst, CIO's, and CTO's. He managed and produced in a Top 5 office of an IT staffing and Consulting division of a Fortune 500 strategic staffing company (100+ offices). While assisting and training recruiters around the United States, he was chosen as one of twelve recruiters nationwide to develop policies and procedures for recruitment and retention in an information technology market. He was also recognized as one of the Top Fifteen individual producers worldwide for the same Fortune 500 staffing firm (300+ producers worldwide). Scott graduated from the Henderson State University with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. Scott has been a Partner at Vaco since October of 2004.

Brandon has over five years of sales production experience including two years in the telecommunications industry and three years in the IT staffing and consulting industry. He functioned as a Sr. Account Executive for an IT staffing and consulting division of a multi-billion dollar worldwide provider of technical services . His division consistently ranked in the top five divisions worldwide. His IT staffing experience includes a concentration in e-business, web development initiatives, application develepment, and technical system support. Brandon graduated for the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor's degree in finance.

Eric is a Partner with Vaco Resources, focusing on client critical needs for senior level accounting/finance professionals on an interim and project basis. Eric started his career in public accounting as an auditor with Arthur Andersen LLP in Nashville. He then joined a local bank consulting firm and performed internal audit and commercial loan portfolio reviews for community banks in TN, GA, and KY. Eric began his career in placement in 2003 with Department of Defense contractors. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

Julie began her career in public accounting with Ernst & Young in their Nashville audit practice, specializing in the healthcare industry.  She is a Certified Public Accountant and a memeber of the TSCPA.  Julie graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in marketing from Belmont University, where she also received the School of Business Outstanding Student of the Year award.  She earned her Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Tennessee.

Kelly joined Vaco in October 2004, focusing on recruiting and management of accounting/finance professionals on a consulting and project basis. Kelly began her career in public accounting in the Nashville tax practice of Arthur Andersen LLP, serving clients in various industries including healthcare, insurance and various services. Kelly then joined the Tax Research group at the nation's largest hospital operator based in Nashville, Tennessee. Kelly is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the TSCPA. Kelly graduated Summa Cum Laud from the University of Kentucky with both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Accounting.

Jenny has four years of experience in recruiting and placement of accounting professionals on a consulting basis. She began her career with a regional public accounting firm focusing on audits of non-profit, transportation and service companies. Jenny graduate Cum Laude from Belmont University with a BBA degree in Accounting.

Alex has approximately Ten years of sales production and sales management experience in the IT staffing and consulting industry as well as two years experience in IT human resources. He managed and produced in an IT staffing and consulting division of a Fortune 500 strategic staffing company that consistently ranked in the top five divisions worldwide (100+ offices), and was recognized as one of the top ten individual performers (300+ producers worldwide) for four consecutive years prior to joining the VACO team. Alex has been a partner at VACO since October of 2004, and was the #1 overall producer for VACO Technology in 2006. Alex graduated from Centre College with a BS in Psychobiology, and finished his studies at MTSU with an MS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

Julie began her career as a recruiter for Contract Freighters Inc. While at the company, she transitioned to the marketing department and helped develop the in house advertising agency. After working in marketing/advertising for several years, she decided to make a move back to the recruiting field. Julie joined Vaco in 2004 and is now a member of Vaco Staffing. Julie graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelors Degree in Communications and Advertising and Promotions.

Jeff has over 11 years experience in public accounting and private industry. Prior to joinging Vaco as a recruiter in 2005 he spent the last six years in public accounting at  Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen.  Prior to that, he worked in audit and accounting functions at Broadcast Music Inc. As a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young in the Business Risk Services (BRS) group, Jeff provided internal audit services for companies ranging in size from multi-billion (Fortune 50) to both middle market and start-up.  In this role, Jeff assisted companies with Sarbanes-Oxley implementations, risk assessments, financial and operational audits, and investigations. In addition, he served as the southeast area leader for royalty and contract audit services. Jeff received an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Tennessee and a MBA from Middle Tennessee State University.

Jeff began his career as an adjunct professor at Lipscomb University, teaching courses in Accounting and Finance at the College of Business. In 2002, he entered public accounting. For more than three years, Jeff was a part of Ernst & Young's audit division, where he specialized in serving healthcare clients. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the TSCPA. Jeff holds a B.S. in Finance from Auburn University, as well as an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Leadership from Lipscomb University.

Sandy began her career in public accounting with Logan and Associates, PC. She had positions as Senior Tax Analyst with Baxter Healthcare and Bellsouth Corporation, followed by another position in public accounting as Tax Manager for the firm Jackson, Reece and Scott, PLLC in Atlanta. Upon her return to Nashville, Sandy consulted for both Vaco Resources and another local firm. She is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the TSCPA. Sandy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Lambuth University with a BBA in Accounting.

Sandra has over ten years experience in the staffing industry. She began her staffing career in 1995 after spending several years in retail sales management. She comes to Vaco with a broad range of placement experience including professional, administrative, accounting and customer service. In addition, she recruited more than 300 employees for the 1996 Olympic Games. Consistently a top producer, she has served as Branch Manager and Market Learning Manager for a global staffing organization. Sandra graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology.

Matt has three years of experience with Accenture as a Business Analyst and four years of experience as a Client Executive for IBM. Matt focused on developing IBM's relationship with leading Healthcare, Insurance and Entertainment companies in Nashville. Matt was responsible for IBM's entire product line including hardware, software, services and financing. For 2002 and 2003, Matt achieved quotas of 175% and 130%, respectively. Matt is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Masters Degree in Communication.

Wendy began her career as a recruiter with Enterprise Rent a Car where she was Recruiting Manager for all of Middle Tennessee. She left Enterprise after 7 years and went back into sales where she worked with Fortune 500 companies such as Cort Business Services and ACS. Wendy has a solid sales background and a wide range of experience in customer service and sales in the advertising industry. She joined Vaco in October 2007 and is very happy to be working with such a wonderful company.

Ryan comes to Vaco with seven years of recruiting experience. He began his career in permanent placement with Southwestern Business Resources, an international search firm, focusing on national retained searches in the IT and Biotechnology fields. Prior to joining Vaco, he was Manager of Recruiting for Great American Opportunities, a national fund-raising company. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor's degree in Communications.

Kim has over twelve years experience in the consulting and placement industry. She started her career with a multi-billion dollar national firm as an individual producer. From there Kim moved on to another National firm where she was promoted to Regional Manager and Regional Director of Search and Placement. Kim transitioned to open a new division for the organization in the Nashville area with and an emphasis on Accounting and Finance. She has consistently been a top producer and was a member of the President's Club. Kim started her career in the Nashville tax practice of Ernst and Young and is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor's degree in accounting.

Kevin is a CPA with over ten years of public accounting and consulting experience. As a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young's tax consulting practice, Kevin focused on assisting companies in the Healthcare industry with tax planning strategies. He received his undergraduate and graduate accounting degrees from the University of Tennessee.
