Prior to joining Vaco Resources/Tucson as a partner in February 2006, Valdo worked with an S&P 500 recruiting company in their Los Angeles, Irvine and Phoenix markets. He served as director of the finance and accounting consulting division and managed engagements ranging from tax and audit consulting to financial system implementations. Valdo began his career in banking, holding various quantitative positions with Merrill Lynch and Bank of America. He then moved to Xerox Corporation in Phoenix, New York and Los Angeles where his responsibilities ranged from Senior Financial Analyst to Operations Controller, after which he was hired as controller for a publicly held software company in Santa Monica, CA. Valdo is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX with a BBA, and he earned his MBA from Loyola Marymount University.

Before joining Vaco Tucson as a Partner, Mike worked with a Fortune Global 500 company where he was responsible for new business development to support the company’s accounting and finance consulting division in Phoenix, AZ. Prior to that, Mike worked for Ernst & Young in Los Angeles where he provided professional services to companies that contract with the Federal and State Governments. During his seven years with the firm, he assisted clients with technical advice on the applicability of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Cost Accounting Standards and led the Sarbanes Oxley, Section 404 compliance efforts for several companies. Mike graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a B.A. in Political Science and a concentration in Public Law.

Jessica brings over ten years of finance and accounting experience in both public and private industries to the Vaco Financial office in Tucson. In addition to running her own consulting company, Jessica has held leadership positions in several multi-billion dollar national firms. With extensive experience in auditing and financial forecasting, she has provided risk assessment and recommendations related to companies ranging from Fortune 500 to both middle market and start-up. Jessica graduated suma cum laude with B.A. degrees in both Business Administration and Economics.
