Quality Assurance Manager
To purpose of the Quality Assurance Manager's role is to carry out testing activities related to projects and ensuring all deliverables and releases are to specification and of high quality. Additionally, the QA Manager is responsible for carrying out regression tests, building automation test suite, prioritizing bugs and re-test bug fixes, and acting as a user expert on how our products work. Finally, this person should be able to efficiently help develop the QA team by continually improving processes as needed.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Deliver the overall QA program for all IT development projects to agreed quality levels.
- Ensure the coverage of business requirements through the QA program across all IT projects.
- Development of the following for all IT projects:
o Functional system test plans
o Automation test plans
o Performance test plans
- Execution of testing program for all IT projects.
- Analysis and reporting of testing results for all IT projects
- Ensure the usage of Enterprise-wide QA tools and standards across all IT projects.
- Creation of test plans with resource demands
- Setup and maintenance of test lab/environment
- Setup and maintenance of testing software
- Coordinate development test cases.
- Identification of QA hardware requirements
- Performing Continuous QA
- Participating in QA Test Cycles
- Compile and distribute release defect reports for all financial products
- Manage field defects to achieve minimum bug-releases
- Maintain knowledge base of known issues and resolutions
- Compile and distribute the what's new document for each release
- Maintain the Test Director bug-database
- Define the QA Cycle Best Practices
- Drives QA process to plan delivery dates
- Test Script development
- Creation and Maintenance of Win Runner test scripts
- Provide Training to other employees on Testing Best Practices
- Establish Bug Reporting Standards
- Become an expert in the domain functionality of our applications
- Define and Manage the QA Build Process
- Identification and resolution of internal customer issues
