Professional Overview
Jim joined Vaco in 2011 and is serving as the Director of Consulting Solutions and Services.  He is helping to manage and grow Vaco's consulting business.  Jim is directly involved in client service and delivery, building strategic relationships with clients, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.

Jim is a senior finance executive with extensive experience leading cross-functional projects leveraging people, process and technology.  Jim is a CPA with over 20 years of public accounting, financial management and consulting experience.  Jim was formerly a Partner in Grant Thornton's Advisory Service practice.  He has experience leading accounting transformation and operational improvement projects with a unique blend of public accounting and industry experience in financial and operational management roles.  His experience includes SEC & financial reporting, financial planning & analysis, corporate income tax, merger & acquisition, ERP & systems implementation, finance process improvement, internal control & risk management, project management, change management and cost reduction.  He has experience with both public and private companies in a variety of industries.

Jim is a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina, a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
