PURPOSE:
Develops, interprets, and implements complex financial and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial planning and control, by performing the following duties.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interprets and applies corporate financial policies, government legislation, and accounting theory.
-Monitors the system of internal accounting controls to insure the safeguarding of company assets and compliance with company policies and procedures.
-Responsible for the most complex and interpretive financial analyses, providing a high level of understanding of risks and opportunities to improve financial performance and /or reduce cost and complexity to drive success.
-Provides periodic reports and special studies for management, highlighting trends and concerns.
-Provides monthly close analysis with insights into financial performance including run-rates and trends and identifies and investigates significant variances.
-Prepares and analyzes major financial forecasts.
-Lead unit's annual finance budget process, expense/service fee/staff forecasts, projections or statistical reporting, including financial performance, variance explanations, and cost analysis with clear articulation of risks and opportunities.
-Responsible for creating and compiling analyses and reports while identifying options and making recommendations for department management, senior management, and executive management.
-Creates, develops, and maintains flexible financial models and reports to identify strengths, weaknesses, trends and opportunities across the business.
-Involved in other financial research projects and analyses of operational results vs. prior periods and vs. plan.
-Performs ad-hoc special projects as needed, supporting strategic business analyses as directed.
-Responsible for business unit performance assessment/measurement, business case analysis support, ROI's, cost/benefit analysis, lease vs. buy, business transaction flows, operations analysis and inventory accounting in any of the Financial Support Service areas (Windows, Doors, Logistics and Consolidation Centers and Financial Planning and Analysis.
-Financial planning responsibility and leadership in process management, facilitating target setting, target setting compilation of inputs and evaluation of results.
-Involved in business case standardization and interpretation of reporting results.
-Analysis of revenue, margin (channel, customer, product), future service projections and new business opportunities.
-Responsible for selling, general and administrative expenses (SGA) supporting Engineering, Quality, Sales, Marketing, R&T, IT, HR.
-Works with business partners and customers on financial analysis, departmental budgets, program analysis, strategic planning, and project support.
-Provides project management leadership and participation in various initiatives such as continuous improvement, project implementation, and process improvement initiatives.
-Proactively drive continuous improvement, efficiency and automation within the finance department and throughout the organization.
-Works with centralized and decentralized business units while building business partner relationships across the organization.
- Perform with a high degree of autonomy in decision making while working within the structure of established processes and procedures and while keeping management informed.
-Other duties as assigned.

DIRECTION OF OTHERS:
-Coach Financial/Budget Analysts.
-Lead and coordinate business unit reporting/planning with other team members.
-Provide work direction or supervise less experienced financial analysts or consultants as requested.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
-Master's degree or equivalent; CPA, CMA preferred, or 7+ years related experience with increasing responsibility and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Excellent computer skills. Advanced Excel including, pivot tables, macros & graphing, other MS Office applications including PowerPoint
-Advanced understanding of finance & business concepts; solid financial and business acumen mindset.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Initiative and ability to identify and research problems as they arise.
-Logical and technically sound problem solving and modeling skills with an ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
-Proven ability to drive change.
-Ability to deal with ambiguity and act without having the total picture, as well as being able to effectively pose questions in order to gather information required for decision making.
-2+ years Business Objects Report Writing
