Customer Service Representative - Business to Business

Vaco Staffing is seeking a Customer Service Representative for a Business Solutions company headquartered here in Indianapolis! The primary function of the this position is to maintain and strengthen customer accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and company profitability. This individual will work closely with the outside sales representatives upon securing customer contracts and/or orders. On a daily basis, the Customer Service Representative will be responsible for the following:

  • Developing sales and profits through regular contact with current accounts and customer prospects;

  • Supplying product information to customers and promoting sales;

  • Reviewing customer requests and providing valid quotations;

  • Processing customer orders;

  • Following project from initial phone call through scheduling and follow up

  • Reviewing and adjusting purchase order pricing according to branch marginal goals;

  • Reviewing and expediting open orders;

  • Gathering and forwarding data to Corporate Purchasing department

  • Researching and settling past due accounts;

  • Working with Quality Control on product issues;

  • Coordinating the resolution of customer issues;

  • Following through on any direction from the Business Manager for customer growth and development.


  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred

  • At least 2 years related experience in customer service role

  • Customer service experience within distribution or manufacturing environment preferred

  • Professional demeanor

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Effective problem-solving ability and customer focus

  • Strong analytical ability

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to become proficient in Company software

  • Knowledge of quality control processes a plus
