Bio

Lindsey Roberts has worked as an Executive Recruiter for Vaco since May of 2008.  For the first 3 years, she worked in the Staffing Division in both a recruiting and sales capacity.  She handled the placement of administrative, sales, marketing, HR, customer service, and operational accounting professionals.  After 3 years with the company, Lindsey decided to try her hand at recruiting for a new skill set and had an interest in learning more about supply chain management, so she joined the Vaco Logistics group as an Executive Recruiter.  Lindsey now handles executive searches for candidates with a distribution, supply chain and transportation background.  Prior to her time at Vaco, Lindsey worked for Memphis' professional live theatre: Playhouse on the Square in Midtown, Memphis.  She has worked as an actor for Playhouse since 1997, and from 2006-2008, Lindsey was their Special Events Coordinator and Assistant Audition Coordinator for the Unified Professional Theatre Auditions.  In her time with Playhouse, Lindsey coordinated more than 20 events and was responsible for creating several events for the theatre.  She also handled all talent registration and secured sponsorship for the UPTA Auditions.  While working at Playhouse, Lindsey spent her spare time working as a Radio DJ for Rock 103. 

In her early 20's, Lindsey ventured out to Los Angeles.  During this time, Lindsey worked as a Tour Guide and Teacher for the Simon Wiesenthal Center's Museum of Tolerance as well as an Administrative Assistant for an Intellectual Property Law Firm: Benman, Brown and Williams.  She then helped one of the partner's at the firm launch a new company: Integrated Virtual Networks, a web-based video-conferencing company. Lindsey was responsible for building the company from the ground up creating all business practices, policies and procedures. 

A native to Memphis, Lindsey is still active in the Memphis arts community, including Playhouse on the Square, Circuit Playhouse, TheatreWorks and Theatre Memphis.  She has acted in, choreographed, and/or produced more than 50 theatrical productions.  She remains an actor, but she was also a theatre judge for the College, University and new play division for the annual Memphis Theatre Awards: The Ostrander's.  She was a judge for three seasons.  For the same amount of years, Lindsey has also been responsible for the event coordination of The Ostrander's, working closely with Contemporary Media in order to ensure the event's success.  In 2011, she was selected by Arts Memphis and the theatre community to take on the official title of Coordinator of the Ostranders.  Although it is a volunteer post, it is an honor to have been selected by the theatrical community.  Lindsey was also the chair of the entertainment committee for the opening of the new Playhouse on the Square facility.  She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has been in over a dozen films including Hustle and Flow, Black Snake Moan, and The Poor & Hungry, all directed by Craig Brewer. 

Lindsey is also an active member of the Memphis business community.  She is a member of SHRM and currently serves on their Executive Board on the programs committee.    Other professional affiliations include: Memphis Business Alliance, Women on the Move, Lipscomb & Pitts Breakfast Club and The American Society for Training and Development.  Additionally, Lindsey is a mentor for the MILE program through the University of Memphis (Memphis Institute for Leadership Education).  She is proud to be a new mentor for an upcoming graduate of the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at her alma mater.

Lindsey graduated summa cum laude from The University of Memphis with a BA in English Literature in 2005.  She has a beautiful son, Jackson, born in August of 2007, and she was married to Jack Daniels, Director of Operations for Mahaffey Tent and Party Rentals, in October of 2010.
