Bio

Prior to joining Vaco Orlando, Heriot Prentice was a Director, Standards and Guidance at The IIA. He was responsible for The IIA's activities in developing and maintaining the International Professional Practices Framework.  Prior to this he was responsible to Advanced Technology Committee who is responsible for the development of the GTAG series and the development of the Guide to the Assessment of IT general controls based on Risk.

Prior to joining the IIA, Heriot was employed at Deloitte as a Senior Manager, where he managed the provision of the IT audit and consultancy services to both public and private sector.  He specialized in data mining to identify savings and potential fraud.  He managed the delivery of a BS7799\ISO17799 risk assessment methodology.

Heriot is a Member and Fellow of the Institute of Internal Auditors. Heriot is also a trained user of EnCase Forensic, the Standard in Computer investigation and Forensics. He currently serves at the staff liaison to the Internal Auditing Standards Board.
