Vaco has an immediate opportunity for a .Net Software Architect to lead the development of solution methodologies and integration efforts overseeing all aspects of the project life cycle. This architect will work closely with both internal and external customers and clients to created optimal solutions and designs.

Responsibilities
* Ability to lead the development of solution methodologies and integration efforts overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle, providing up to date documentation of technical specs
* Work closely and collaborate with business analysts to clarify and implement against requirements and specifications
* Collaborate, create, and submit detailed systems and coding design and map specifications for code development
* Work closely with client and vendor IT departments and on technical implementation details
* Perform code analysis to come up with the best balance of code quality vs. performance and scalability vs. delivery timing vs. work effort

Qualifications
* Excellent follow through and initiative
* Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical staff
* Excellent project skills: planning, estimation, tracking
* Ability to present ideas and information in group settings
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in requirements gathering and development
* Knowledge of the full software development life cycle
* Knowledge of Integration Methodologies and Standards
* Demonstrated experience in testing and test planning
* Strong relational database design
* 7+ years in development

Technical Skills:
* Strong GUI Design (web and smart clients)
* 5 + years experience with Visual Studio 2003, 2005, 2008 (ASP.Net, C#, VB)
* 5 + years experience SQL 2000/2005/2008 Database Development
* Experience in creating and consuming WCF web services
* Experience with IVR (Interactive Voice Response) Systems and phone systems (specifically Cisco UCCE and CVP) a plus.
* Familiarity with Word, Visio, Excel and/or MS project
* Microsoft Certifications a plus
