Bio

Cristen Vaughn is an Accounting and Finance Recruiter at Vaco Raleigh, LLC, where she is responsible for identifying and assessing qualified candidates for Accounting and Finance job opportunities.  Cristen gets to know candidates throughout the interview process and matches their needs to those of the client. 

Prior to joining Vaco, Cristen attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance in 2006 and a Master's of Science Degree in Accounting in 2008. She began her career in 2006 as a Financial Representative for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and assisted clients with their overall financial plans and goals. In 2008, she joined public accounting and worked for Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP as a Tax Accountant where she worked with many different companies and individuals in assisting them with their tax services needs.

In 2006, Cristen launched the Wilmington Professional Group, a local networking group in Wilmington, NC.  After relocating to Raleigh, NC in 2008, Cristen started the Raleigh Professional Group.  These groups are designed to create a professional environment for business professionals to network and showcase their businesses. 

In addition to theses networking groups, Cristen is also active in the Junior League of Raleigh. JLR is a member-based organization of women with a three-fold mission - to promote volunteerism, to develop the potential of women, and to improve the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.  Cristen's professional affiliation includes the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA).
