Crystal Suazo, CPA, is a partner at Vaco Raleigh, LLC, where she is part of the core management team that oversees the organization’s day-to-day business operations in addition to playing an integral role in business development and strategic planning for the firm.

Crystal earned her Bachelor of Science degree (Cum Laude) with a major in accounting and minor in trust management from Campbell University.  She began her career working in the manufacturing industry focusing on cost accounting and inventory control.  She joined public accounting in 1999 and worked for a local firm handling tax, trust and estate compliance, and business development. Her public accounting experience also included performing the audit function for nonprofit clients as well as tax compliance and financial planning.

Active in the local community, Crystal’s professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA) where she has served as a cabinet member and social chair for the Young CPA Cabinet. She is also involved in the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s EDGE4 campaign, a five-year economic development program that benefits Raleigh, Wake County and the Research Triangle region.  She is vice chair of the Triangle chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA) and a board member for Triangle Family Services where she currently serves as co-chair for the organization’s 8^th Annual Gingerbread Benefit.  Crystal is also a part of the Leadership Circle for the United Way of the Triangle and was recognized as one of the Triangle’s top 25 businesswomen in 2008 with Triangle Business Journal’s prestigious Women in Business Award for her exemplary leadership skills in the mentoring category.

A native of Amarillo, Texas, Crystal resides in Cary with her husband, Greg.
