Bio

Bob Reuss is the vice president of business development at Vaco Raleigh, LLC, where he is responsible for representing the firm in the Triangle business community. Bob works to create new business relationships and strengthen existing associations through his membership in several local organizations as well as attendance at most of the area’s major business networking events. His role at Vaco extends to supporting the senior executive search group and serving as a high-level financial project consultant for Vaco clients.

Bob has more than 40 years of financial and management consulting, investment banking and small business ownership experience. He has worked in and with organizations spanning a variety of different industries and has held positions as a CEO, a CFO in two IPOs, an investment banker, a private investor. He was a CPA in Minnesota from 1967 to 1994, and a licensed financial principal with the SEC during his career in the financial world.

Bob earned his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and master’s in industrial management from Purdue University, and attended the advanced management program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

He has extensive mergers and acquisitions (M&A) experience as a seller, buyer and intermediary in transactions involving both public and private companies. Prior to joining Vaco, Bob worked in the Research Triangle Park area, primarily doing CFO work related to financial restructuring and M&A. He joined Vaco Raleigh in March of 2007 based on his long-term acquaintance with and respect for managing partner David Rhode.

Bob is active in several community and professional organizations including the National Association of Corporate Directors, the Association for Corporate Growth and the Raleigh Public Relations Society. He recently served as a member of the Committee for Restoration of the Thompson Building at N.C. State University and of the Advisory Board for Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.

A native of Cincinnati, Bob resides in Raleigh with his wife, Judy.
