Bio

Tim Castle is the Business Manager of the Design & Gaming division at Vaco Raleigh, LLC, where he is part of a team responsible for building a national division within Vaco. The Design & Gaming division specializes in serving the consultant needs of clients, both existing and prospective, in the United States and internationally, in the design, gaming, media, training and development, and eLearning professions. Tim focuses on business development, professional services and recruiting, and brings more than 20 years of diverse experience in the 3D visualization market and business development to Vaco and his clients.

Some of Tim's visualization projects have earned him the VIZ Master Award from Autodesk and have included land dispute visualization for a court case, 3D golf animation for ESPN, and a real-time 3D interactive project for Duke University.

Prior to joining Vaco, Tim was president and founder of CastleViz, an industry-leading 3D visualization studio working with cutting edge technologies and techniques. CastleViz provided a full range of visualization services for a variety of industries - including high-profile motor sports marketing, architecture visualization projects, and accident reconstruction for court cases. Services included 3D animation, video production, visual simulation, and multimedia. Before starting his own firm, Tim was the outside sales account manager, Infrastructure Solutions Division Avatech Solutions, which was acquired by IMAGINiT Technologies, the world's largest provider of enterprise solutions to the engineering community. Tim was also vice president of Bluemoon Design, Inc., and account manager for CADRE Systems, a position in which his unique background in CAD hardware and software allowed him to record the company's highest gross profit of $375,000. His past professional experience also includes technical evangelist at Virtus Corporation, an international real-time 3D software development company.

Tim was a student as well as the IT manager at Johnson County Community College, one of the top community colleges in the United States, and School of Communication Arts, which provides specialized training in the worlds of film, advertising and computer gaming. Prior to his active interest in graphics, Tim served in the United States Army Infantry and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the Army Achievement Medal.

A native of Columbia, Mo., Tim resides in Cary, N.C. with his wife Susan, sons Zachary and Tanner, and daughter Kendall.
