We are currently recruiting for a Financial Reporting Accountant for a large, reputable company in the Richmond, Virginia area.

Salary: $40k-$60k plus bonus

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing and reporting processes.


• Oversee the design and implementation of internal controls over financial reporting including quarterly, annual and other required reports


• Perform journal entries and account reconciliations in compliance with control requirements.


• Prepare income statement and balance sheet packages and related schedules and work closely with various departments to address questions and facilitate statement analysis and review.


• Assist with the internal and external audit process.


• Work with teammates to implement process improvements


• Work closely with other areas within finance department to accomplish objectives

Qualifications:

• BS in Accounting/Finance required


• 2+ years of public accounting or corporate accounting and financial reporting experience


• CPA or CPA candidate preferred


• Strong system skills including MS Excel


• Strong analytical and problem solving skills


• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines and limited supervision.
