Bio

Bill joined Vaco in August 2011, after spending over 20 combined years as an accounting professional for a publicly-traded insurance broker, a privately-held manufacturing firm, and a non-profit affiliate.  He has extensive experience in business process improvement, mergers & acquisitions, enterprise risk management, quality assurance, compliance, corporate governance, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.  He has also managed the planning, documentation, testing and remediation of internal controls over financial reporting in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 requirements.  Bill graduated from Auburn University with an accounting degree.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner.

In addition, Bill is very active in the local sports scene.  He serves on the Board of the Central Virginia Lacrosse Officials Association, officiates high school lacrosse games, and coaches several youth sports teams.  He lives in Richmond with his wife and two sons.
