Big South Social Media Summit

Big South supporters, speakers and sponsors:

On May 2nd, Nashville's flood claimed the lives of 21, damaged or destroyed 9,400 properties, and will cost a minimum of $1.5 billion to rebuild.

In the face of such devastation, Nashville has shown amazing strength, compassion, generosity, and unity.

We wanted to update you on the changes that the flood has caused to the Big South Social Media Summit scheduled for August 13th.

The floodwaters caused more than $15M in damage to the treasured Schermerhorn symphony hall located in the heart of the city.  This was the chosen site for the upcoming Big South Social Media Summit and an unparalleled venue; however, their damage was so severe that they are not anticipating opening until late September.  We confirmed today that they will not be able to reschedule our event until late January.

As a result, we will be bringing to the web the Big South Social Media Series, and it will be free.

Video and Q&A will be housed on the Big South website.

We will be refunding all tickets  and are beginning today to reach out to our speakers and sponsors to ask for their continued support as we put together a plan, a time line, and massage the logistics.  We'll be posting updates on www.bigsouthsocialmediasummit.com.
