The Credit Report Specialist is responsible for handling incoming calls from consumers regarding their credit reports, credit monitoring statements, and / or credit disputes.
Primary Responsibilities:Essential Functions: - Answer incoming calls as available to provide appropriate level of information requested / needed by the consumer, such as: -Interpretation of Credit Report Contents - Explanation of Credit Report Alerts / Monitoring Statements - Explanation of dispute process - Perform appropriate level of security to manually authenticate a consumer before release confidential information - Safeguard all data obtained during the course of your employment including all personal identifying information (PII) -Documenting all calls into the membership system - May assist in other duties as assigned
Education:High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: * 6 months previous call center experience preferred * Credit experience / knowledge preferable * Ability to multi-task effectively and accurately notate calls in a fast paced / high volume call center * Basic experience using Windows based applications and Microsoft Office * Ability to communicate clearly and concisely NOTE: This assignment requires that candidates are computer savvy and can work with multiple systems at one time. Must be a fast learner with sufficient technical aptitude to use these systems on a daily basis. During the training period the candidates will be required to pass multiple written and verbal quizzes on the information in the training. Agents will be quizzed with both verbal and written quizzes as well as observed in how they respond to questions and navigate the system. They must satisfactorily pass this training/observation period to continue
Working Conditions:There is a 2 week training period that is M-F, 7-3. After that, a shift will be assigned (and may include evening hours.) Workers MUST BE available to work Saturdays. Agents will need to be on time and have no absences during the 2 week training period. An absence or multiple tardiness during this time could result in immediate termination.
