We are in search of a Cost Accounting Manager for our Professional Services client. This role is in the Newark / New Brunswick area, and is a fulltime job opportunity.

This position works closely with the operational business partners to develop accurate product costs through actionable reporting.
*Drives accurate product cost, working closely with the plant(s) management team and the SAP SCM implementation team.
*Provide reporting that supports the analysis of purchase price variances, inventory reevaluation and standard cost setting to support product cost rolls.
*Develops cost control methods and procedures across products.
*Analyze raw products used, all variable costs, overhead costs, labor and any other types of costs involved with manufacturing the product.
*Drive customer requirements and rationalize gaps to ensure meaningful decision making data for management. e.g. compare costs for the best raw products to use at the lowest prices by location.
*Provide reporting to help identify the best ways to make the product in the most efficient manner possible.

REQUIREMENTS:
Previous Cost Accounting experience using SAP SCM and other integrated software packages. Excellent analytical and decision making skills. Experience compiling product cost statements using break even analysis techniques.
Has Developed meaningful reports that:
* Accurately Monitor Product costs.
* Thoroughly comprehends different types of inventory methods such as average cost, LIFO, FIFO, etc.
* Automate and standardize product costing / break even analysis processes by product.
* Familiar with bill of materials.
* Develop reports where management can find ways of reducing costs and increase product gross margins.

CPA, MBA a plus
SAP ECC, BW/BI & SNP APO preferred
7-9 years' experience in Manufacturing environment, preferably Pharmaceuticals.
3-4 years Big Four Consulting

Knowledge of SCM SAP Software, Product Costing, Break Even Analysis and Cost Control Procedures.

Develops relationships between the business and IT that foster the flow of information necessary to develop effective product costing tools and key cost reports to management

Possess a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and be able to put them into practice.
