Bio

Jim Jhanda brings more than a decade of technology recruiting experience to his clients, with an emphasis on building technology teams for early stage and established organizations across multiple industry sectors. Jim has been selected by many premier Bay Area technology companies, Fortune 500 clients, and top-tier venture capital firms to recruit, evaluate, and deliver top technical talent. Jim's role as Partner for Vaco San Francisco is to develop new business opportunities for the firm, recruit top talent for Vaco clients, and provide strategic and management direction for the office.

Prior to joining Vaco, Jim spent seven years driving and leading the build of a Bay Area technology recruiting firm from a startup $2mm to $60mm. He was instrumental in all aspects of building the firm, the sale of the company, and stayed on post transaction for 18 months. As with any startup, Jim wore multiple hats during his tenure, he has a long list of accomplishments as Sales Producer, Recruiting Producer, "in the trenches" manager, and member of the firm's executive team. Earlier is his career, Jim was a President Club producer every year for a large national IT staffing firm where he spent several years placing Bay Area technology professionals at Fortune 500 and venture backed startups companies.

Jim resides in Pleasant Hill, CA (East Bay Area) with his wife Jennifer and new baby girl Alexis Kennedy.

Jim holds as Masters in Public Administration from Notre Dame de Namur University and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University.
