Manufacturing Controller

  • Responsible for accounting and financial reporting and analysis, annual operating budgets, and development of standard costs.

  • Summarizes financial performance and effectively communicates results to senior management. Analyzes period costs and manufacturing variances and identifies trends and potential risks/opportunities to the operation. Recommends and reports financial and operational metrics that will support existing and changing business activities, and measures performance against established targets.

  • Ensures all aspects of plant financial/accounting operations are consistent with U.S. GAAP, and in compliance with Company accounting policies and procedures.

  • The key Finance business partner to the Director of Finance, Plant Manager, and manufacturing department managers.


The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

· Prepares the annual Manufacturing Operating Plan.

· Coordinates preparation of annual Capital Plan and quarterly updates.

· Prepares monthly manufacturing reports and supporting analyses for Industrial operations

· Provides consolidated view of operations for weekly/monthly key performance reporting

· Prepares Financial forecasts as required

· Exercises supervision over cost accounting, inventory, fixed assets, CIP, and inter-company account reconciliations and analysis and all balance sheet accounts falling under the Plant sub ledger.

· Plans and participates in all physical inventories; audits cycle counting program

Education/Experience requirements:

B.A./B.S in business with a concentration in accounting

CPA/CMA, or MBA preferred

Minimum five to seven years of experience with at least three years as plant controller

Strong Microsoft skills (Excel, Powerpoint). SAP/Hyperion

Position Description

Vaco technology's client is seeking a data centric Senior Business Analyst (SBA). This position will work at a strategic level with all levels of business and technical subject matter experts in the elicitation, modeling, documentation and management of data and business and systems requirements. The analyst will use their extensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and business analysis best practices to facilitate requirements sessions and communicate clearly and effectively with end-users, senior business managers and other team members. The Senior Business Analyst will be accountable for providing leadership and direction to ensure the appropriate collection of data; documentation of information; and presentation of findings. The SBA will provide ad-hoc query support, conduct comparative analysis, and provide support to users who use the business intelligence tools. The primary work location will be in Washington DC with some travel to Rockville and Fairfax.

Your role will initially include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Provide Data Analysis Tools Support: Provide guidance and technical support to customers and stakeholders who want to use the business intelligence tools provided (assisting with configuration, and providing overviews of the tools).

  • Create database queries (SQL, PL/SQL etc.) with Oracle 11g and other databases.

  • Work with the SMEs to ensure data providers are in compliance with the published data standards, validating data from the providers and monitoring and reporting on the quality of the data.

Java Developer
