The Senior .NET Developer is responsible for providing technical leadership and participating in the more technically challenging development efforts. The person in this role must have extensive experience in .NET and SQL Server development and a demonstrated history of applying that knowledge to enterprise software solutions. As a senior-level developer, this person will be looked upon as an expert in .NET development, provide advice to other developers and assist in technical planning exercises. This person will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with other highly skilled professionals in a team environment and will be required to demonstrate a high level of self-initiative and analytical skills. This highly visible role will work with team members from different departments across the organization and requires the ability to communicate effectively with members of upper management.
Duties: Acting as a high-performing developer and subject matter expert on .NET and SQL Server development technique.
Analyzing Functional Design Documents and creating Technical Design Documents to be used by the development team to implement client solutions.
Developing comprehensive technical solutions in a team environment.
Analyzing and understanding an entire solution and the interfaces and dependencies between the technical component.
Performing standard release-based development under planned deadlines as well as investigating and resolving priority Production issues.
Participating in release planning and roadmap development activities.
Acting as a mentor to other developers on industry best practices, optimal coding techniques and emerging technologies
Continually advance knowledge and participation in the .NET professional community.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Science.
7-10 years of hands-on .NET development experience with both C# and VB.NET.
Extensive experience with SQL Server and database design concepts.
Microsoft certifications preferred.
Familiarity with database management system software, object or component development software, and web platform development software.
Demonstrate complex problem solving, critical thinking, and decision making.
Ability to design and document complete solutions.
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to ambiguity.
Must be innovative and willing to seek out creative solutions to new challenges.
Demonstrate strong written, verbal, and interpersonal savvy.
Demonstrate attention to detail and time management skills.
Excellent follow-up skills.
