My experience in Financial Management with publicly held companies gives me both knowledge and empathy for my clients and my consultants. I have the benefit of dealing with CFOs, VPs, Directors and Managers who have years of experience in their fields and my consultants are people of the same education and experience so we’re all peers and I have to be cognizant that the client I have today could be the consultant or candidate I have tomorrow and vice-versa.

Relevant previous employers/experience/education:
Prior to working in Consulting I spent 23 years in Accounting culminating with the role of Division Controller for a company that manufactured Fire Equipment. When I first left practice I worked for another Contract Placement organization for a year before coming to Vaco in 2005.

List any community involvement:
A current member of the Tampa Chapters of Institute of Internal Auditors and Financial Executives International: I hold Board of Governors positions with both organizations and actively work to expand the membership and increase the value that members receive from being part of these organizations.

What puts the wind in your sail about working at Vaco?
I love the opportunity to speak with my clients about their organizations and about the direction they are planning on taking with their teams as well as their careers. I like to know that the relationships that I have developed since working in Contract Placement are going to last 10-15 years into the future or longer.

Having my friends call me for my input on hiring, pay, or management of difficult situations makes me feel that I have succeeded in life.
