Bio

Lissette is a proud University of Florida graduate having obtained her Bachelors and Masters in Accounting from Fisher School of Accounting. Upon graduation, Lissette passed all four sections of the CPA exam on her first attempt and began her career in public accounting with Ernst & Young.

After leaving public accounting, Lissette spent a combined total of five years in the private arena as an Assistant Controller then Controller before finding her passion in recruiting. After meeting the Vaco family and understanding how the Vaco model works, Lissette knew she found her new home and has been happy ever since!

Lissette uses her previous experiences as both a candidate and hiring manager to provide the same level of service she appreciated while in their shoes. Having worked in the capacity of most of her clients and candidates, she can really understand their needs and goals. Lissette spends the time upfront to get to know her clients and candidates to ensure she is finding the right fit for both sides.

Lissette is currently the President Elect of the American Society of Women Accountants; her role there includes managing membership, writing the newsletter, and recruiting new members. When not working for her clients/candidates at Vaco, spending time on ASWA, or volunteering in the community, Lissette actively weight trains, spins, and spends time with family and friends.
