Houston, We Have Beer!

Need your “Hops fix”? No worries, we got that covered. Visit and even take a tour of some of Houston’s craft breweries to quench your thirst. Whether you take your “beerscape” at Karbach Brewing, 8th Wonder Brewery or even Texas’ oldest craft brewery, Saint Arnold, you’re sure to have a great time. Grab a bite, take a stroll through the biergarten, enjoy some live music, and raise a pint! Cheers!

Downtown Historic District – Market Square

Looking for entertainment, dining, night-life, public art, and even greenery? Houston’s Market Square in Downtown is the spot to be! This area provides various activities that are family friendly and it has a night life you can’t stay away from. You can pop in at the numerous restaurants and bars that border the park including classics like La Carafe, one of the city’s oldest bars in the city’s oldest commercial building, or walk over to Warren’s Inn for an old-school cocktail and the best martinis in Houston.

Minute Maid Park

Get some ice-cold beer and peanuts and cheer on the 2017 World Series Champions, the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park in Downtown. Arrive early and experience the Astros and visiting team take batting practice. Bring a glove and catch some free souvenirs as some of baseball’s biggest stars hit homers into the stands starting 2 hours and 25 minutes before game time. Now play ball!

The Galleria

More than 30 million visitors each year seek the dynamic & fine shopping environment uniquely offered by The Galleria, Texas’ largest shopping center and fourth largest domain nationally. Spanning 2.4 million square feet of space, housing 400 fine stores and restaurants, two high-rise Westin hotels, and three office towers, The Galleria is Houston’s most popular retail and tourist destination. Keep your eyes open, you might spot a celebrity or two.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

Similar to New Orleans’s Mardi Gras, Houston’s signature event is the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. HLSR is deemed the largest rodeo in the world, with a 2017 attendance of 2.6 million people and 33,000 volunteers; Like they say, “everything is bigger in Texas!” If you find yourself in Houston late Feb. to March, be sure to snag a ticket whether it’s to the cook-off, a concert, the fair or livestock competitions and auctions.
