Noble Experiment

A hidden gem in downtown, San Diego – literally hidden! It’s a speakeasy inside of a bar, with no signs or obvious entrance. The ambiance is seductive, mysterious and classy – it’s a mash of French catacombs and classical paintings meets gothic 1920s prohibition. The bartenders make custom drinks based on flavors, liquors and add-ons you like. Not a good spot for kids or teens, but it’s great for a cozy date night! – Veronica Espino, Senior Associate of Financial Recruiting

Kono’s Café

You cannot visit San Diego without going to where the locals line up for a hearty breakfast and lunch. Kono’s is an oceanfront cafe by the pier with a surf-themed interior and consistently tasty food and great people…some of the same employees over the last 16 years! This place is the ultimate chillin’ and relaxin’ vibe of our beloved San Diego. –Katharine Lee, Senior Technical Recruiter

If you love comics or are a fan of Marvel films, this is an incredible international convention. Even if you don’t go into the convention center it’s a ton of fun to go downtown to people-watch and to get a look at all the creative costumes. You might even see a celebrity or two. The next event is scheduled for July 18-21, 2019 at the San Diego Convention Center! — Chelsea Sanger, Financial Director

San Diego Zoo

One of the most popular zoos in the country, and for good reason! The San Diego Zoo is an enormous park with animals from every continent and exciting wild-like enclosures. See your favorite creatures, ranging from, “lions and tigers and bears, oh my!” The park offers many ways to maneuver including safari tours and double-decker buses, making it an all-day adventure. It’s impossible to believe that you’re not actually in the wild! – Caitli Walsh-Betteker, Senior Account Executive

Balboa Park

If you are visiting San Diego, then Balboa Park is a must-see cultural wonder in the heart of the urban center of the city. At over 1,200 acres, the park is home to beautiful gardens, walking paths, museums, theatres, and the world-famous San Diego Zoo. The San Diego Zoo has been an icon for the city since 1916. With beautiful architecture and numerous cultural sites, Balboa Park houses some of San Diego’s largest festivals and fairs. December Nights, which has been running for 40 years, was rated #5 by USA Today as “Best Holiday Festivals” in the U.S., bringing in over 350,000 people each year. — Bryan Hendricks, Recruiting Manager
