In celebration of Women’s History Month, Vaco Nashville wanted to shine a light on some of the phenomenal women in our Vaco family. We hope that by learning more about them, you’ll be as inspired as we are by their empowering spirits.
Q: How have your unique experiences and qualities enabled you to thrive in your role at Vaco?
A: I have always been interested in hearing people’s stories and learning what makes them, them. Now I get to hear people tell their stories for my job!
Q: Which core tenet exemplifies your history at Vaco, and why?
A: “Work hard, stay free.” I came into Vaco totally new to the recruiting world, so to say that the past three years have been a whirlwind is an understatement. However, it has been great to see what hard work can lead to when you work with an incredible and inspiring group of women (and now one guy ) who are constantly pushing you to be your best.
Q: How has Vaco empowered you to have the freedom to be successful both professionally and personally?
A: Vaco gives me an incredible amount of freedom and flexibility to not only take care of what I need outside of work but also, to try to forge my own path to success. There is room to try new things and see what works and what doesn’t, while also never feeling like I am missing out on the things that are important to me outside of the office.
Q: There are so many powerful women who influence those around them for years to come. Who is that person for you and why?
A: For me, that would be my Mom. My mom is a real estate broker and owns her own business, which she started when we were kids. I grew up watching her work so many late nights and weekends to build up her business and all the while she treats every client with kindness and respect. She works tirelessly for every single client no matter who they are and what they are looking for. That is something I try to emulate every day in my job.
