The challenges that the team faced included disparate customer management data across the enterprise, with multiple entries for the same customer, limited fields to identify unique customers, and different tables for customers’ master data, leading to multiple login credentials for a single user.
Organization of Customer Data
The Binary Semantics team was able to extract customer data from different databases and analyzed key data fields used for matching, identify identical customer data, normalize and de-duplicate the records, and use data validation to merge the existing data. The client saw ROI through results of customer master data reducing duplication by over 65% and enabling a more efficient governance of customer data and the amalgamated CRM customer record as a whole through centralized Master Data.
