Separate & Stand Up
When a U.S. merger of paper behemoths stalled over anti-competitive concerns, it created a unique purchase opportunity for our client, a third-party operator, to acquire several mill operations that had been carved out of the original deal. To successfully separate the mills from the parent company, the buyer needed an entire integration team to “separate and stand up” each mill as an independent operator.
Vaco leveraged its network of accomplished integration deal executives to identify, interview and hire an accomplished CIO to lead the transition effort for our client. Under his leadership, the fast-tracked transition effort included assembling a full integration team dedicated to speed, data integrity, confidentiality, and quality as we helped separate the data for the right mills, the right corporate systems, and the right IT support capabilities.
