Vaco & Fisk Partnership
Vaco is partnering with Fisk University, a historically black university and higher learning in Nashville. This ongoing partnership will consist of workforce education, with Vaco hosting resume and interview workshops in coordination with Fisk University’s Center for Career Planning and Development. The ultimate goal will entail placing Fisk students in strategic paid internship programs this Summer with some of our most valued clients.
Partnership Objectives
- Keep Fisk’s outstanding graduates in the Nashville area, helping to strengthen the university’s reputation and alumni base locally while allowing us to place talented candidates with exceptional companies throughout the city.
- Increase minority talent in the Nashville community by cultivating a robust pipeline of high-caliber, potential full-time candidates. We are looking to help provide the next generation of minority c-suite executives and outstanding professionals.
- Create a program that promotes mentorship with past/present interns to share existing knowledge, skills, and experience they learned during the program and transfer these skills to newer or less experienced interns in order to advance their future careers.
