About Jennifer

“I took a leap of faith, leaving my career as a CPA, to take on a new opportunity of building a company my way,” said Jennifer McCasland, managing partner of Vaco’s Orange County office, in her Forbes, Fortune, and Entrepreneur’s Extraordinary Women in Business feature. “It was freeing and personable. The goal was to help clients find talent, help talent find careers, and grow teams along the way.”

Jennifer opened Vaco’s Orange County in 2005, to support companies during the Sarbanes-Oxley era, help companies grow, and grow her own firm, after working as a CPA. Jennifer finds most excitement in the art of finding and bringing out individual strengths and aspirations of job seekers and employees. She believes that when you tap into individual skills, you can build an autonomous environment where everyone wants to contribute and do their best work – which is when work feels less like work.

Outside of the office, Jennifer loves to spend time with her husband and two kids, whether on a trip or hanging out at home. She goes to the gym at 5am every morning and is grateful for the life she has and the people that surround it – which is exemplified in her motto, “I’m too blessed to be stressed.”

What do you love best about working at Vaco?

Working with a great group of people who share the same passion I do for both business and for what’s most important in our lives…our families.
