About Matthew

Matthew is a CPA who started his career in a Big 4 audit practice before moving into SEC Financial Reporting at a public REIT in Denver. He decided to make a career shift and join Vaco so that he could combine his expertise in the accounting and finance world with his passion for advocating and supporting people. Matthew’s time at Vaco is spent collaborating with organizations to find the right accounting and financial professionals to join their departments and working with individuals to find the right job opportunities.

In my free time you’ll find me running trails in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, enjoying live music, or exploring the wonderful Denver restaurant scene.

What do you love best about working at Vaco?

Hands down the culture. People make culture, and Vaco is a place full of people that truly live up to the core tenets they profess. We feel valued and appreciated in a way that allows us to reciprocate that back to our clients and candidates. It’s also the most fun place I’ve ever worked!
