About Steve

Steve is one of the Co-Founders and Managing Partners for Vaco Cincinnati, with responsibility for Vaco’s Global Technology Line of Business. Outside of Vaco, he is married to his amazing wife Thea – whom he met years ago in an acting class.  Steve and Thea have two adult children. 

Outside of work and family, he continues to scratch his creative itch by writing and publishing fiction – he’s currently drafting Volume 3 of a planned trilogy. You can learn more at DarkWorldSaga.com!

What’s the secret to a great interview?

Creating confidence in the person who is interviewing you.  Use their first name, be confident in your abilities, show lighthearted moments, and come across as someone easy to work with, but command numbers.  Whatever you’re interviewing for, numbers are relevant and they should come up conversationally in your accomplishments.

What is something you can do better than anyone else you know?

My superpower is the ability to quickly write.  I can write an email or a proposal that is 90% gold in half the time it takes most others.  I’m not always the best – others can produce higher quality written communication.  But it’s rare that someone can produce a better first draft at something than I can.
