The Future is Here – Hiring Millenials

According to recent research analysis of U.S. Census Bureau data, more than one-in-three American labor force participants (35%) are Millennials, making them the most well-represented generation in the U.S. labor force.

Fifty-one percent of millennials are open to new job opportunities, and a reported 35% are predicted to leave their current employers within two years. While it’s a well-documented and running joke that some millennials may enjoy a certain, well – reputation, these tech savvy and socially engaged individuals could be just the talent you’re looking for…and more.

We asked client service and recruiting professionals from around the Vaco Planet to share what makes millennials such valuable additions to your organization:

Natalia Giraldo | Recruiter |  Tampa

Millennials are far more tenacious than others give them credit for. The majority of millennials feel they have a lot to prove and as a result, tend to work harder to prove themselves and fight stereotypes.

Ed Prindiville | Research Associate | New York

Millennials are more tech focused. They are more in tune with where the market is going and can help transform and innovate your business.

Drew Dawson | Recruiter | Denver

This younger workforce has a lower learning curve, especially when it comes to technical aspects. They are highly adaptable and will be able to learn more quickly.

Andrew Hollyfield | Recruiter | San Diego

Millennials are key when it comes to speed to market. They are able to help assess existing processes, question possible inefficiencies and suggest tactics to make businesses smarter and faster.

Monica Yeckley | Recruiter | Memphis

Millennials are some of the best brand advocates for your business. With their keen sense of digital knowledge, they can help bolster awareness through strategic social promotion.
