Vaco has added two technology team members, Tyler Cheng and Sam Almahbobi; three executive search managers, Greg Waxler, Puja Kantawala, and Leigh Walker; a client service manager for interim senior level financial and accounting solutions, Richard Ball; an accounting solutions team member Judith Venegas; and Cristina Finol for administrative support. Cheng joins Vaco with experience in market research, data analysis and candidate sourcing. His technical understanding of how to reach job seekers is unmatched and gives him an edge in sourcing, communicating, and helping place them in new ventures.
Almahbobi supports Vaco’s clients with technology talent and project-consulting needs. Prior to Vaco, Almahbobi grew his network in Australia and New York where he delivered recruitment solutions on key and difficult-to-fill requirements. His experience is complemented by a Bachelor’s of Science with a focus in computer science. Almahbobi also has specialized knowledge across talent management initiatives including executive search, strategic market advice, market mapping, talent pooling and contractor transition services. His vast connections and ability to foster long relationships are key in Vaco’s people-driven approach.
Waxler brings over two years of recruiting experience to Vaco’s team. Waxler takes the time to fully understand a client’s needs and strategizes the best process to work together and execute on initiatives. He values the importance of leading a team that delivers quality resources to clients in a timely manner.
With six years’ experience at KPMG, Kantawala brings a depth of knowledge to Vaco’s accounting and finance search team. Kantawala’s advisory expertise allows her to listen to her clients’ needs and find solutions to help drive their business forward.
Not only does Walker bring recruitment expertise to his efforts in sourcing top talent for Vaco’s clients, he also understands the ins and outs of running a business. Walker co-founded and oversaw operations for an event planning startup. This determination, discipline and innate motivation continuously has Walker thinking outside the box to find new ways to support his clients and candidates.
Through 10 years of firsthand experience in accounting and several years in the professional staffing industry, Ball is equipped to support his clients by providing them interim solutions when additional resources are required. He understands critical software, as well as the soft and hard skills required to succeed in varying accounting positions. Ball goes above and beyond to become a trusted advisor to his clients in countless industries.
Venegas prides herself on her savvy research, social media and ability to target new audiences. Venegas uses skills fostered in previous roles to source new talent that uniquely fits the needs to Vaco’s Los Angeles clients in a diverse range of industries. She ensures that each professional is vetted and that their skills and previous experience is ample to support a company’s growing business.
Finol ensures Vaco’s day-to-day administrative responsibilities run smoothly, working as a liaison between candidates and recruiters to ensure the hiring experience is efficient and complete, and prepare all parties for a candidate’s first day at a new job.
