What do you love best about working at Vaco?

The culture!

Why did Vaco Raleigh see the need to offer Agile services?

First and foremost, everything we do is focused on hiring and developing the best people in the market. We knew several leaders in the Agile movement, so it was more about bringing the most accomplished individuals in the space to offer our clients a boutique Agile experience. We recognized the opportunity and had the ability to match the right talent to the growing need for effective Agile coaching.

Why Agile?

I’m a team guy, and the reality, the core of what Agile does, is bring people together to create high performing teams, so I love the fact that Agile supports that concept.

If done correctly, Agile is substance over form. The team holds individuals accountable, which produces great outcomes.

Why this specific group of individuals?

Listen, I’ve partnered with Bob for years in the Agile space and have always appreciated how he built relationships and how he changed organizations for the better.

Mary is someone with whom we had developed a relationship as a client and candidate in the quality and Agile space, so we were acutely aware of her reputation and ability to execute.

We had known Jim ten plus years as a client and candidate and were always impressed with his ability to develop strategic relationships and align strategies between those business units to execute and achieve success.

I’ve always been impressed with Kim’s energy, lover for Agile and her willingness to roll up her sleeves to solve problems and build awesome teams.

What is your vision for Vaco’s Agile service offering?

Our vision is to truly not solve problems within software development but to solve organizational problems to achieve business outcomes. We hired the top talent in the Agile space to advise and train companies to be self-sustaining and maintain agility. We don’t want to just throw bodies at problems, we want to be critical thinkers who solve problems to help organizations be self-sustaining and focus on business outcomes.”

Our focus is on relationships and quality first.
