What is the most rewarding part of being an accounting recruiter?
The most rewarding part of my role is when I successfully help someone find a job they are excited about and fits in well with their long-term career goals.
What advice would you give to someone interested in pursuing a career at a staffing agency?
My advice to someone interested in working at a staffing agency would be to be prepared to put in a lot of time and work hard, especially when you first start. It is a lot of work, but it’s very rewarding!
If you were recruiting someone to join the Vaco team, what are three traits you would want to see in this recruit?
If I were recruiting someone to join the Vaco team, I would be looking for a strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit and, of course, someone who knows how to have a good time!
What do you think is unique about the culture at Vaco compared to other staffing agencies?
Vaco is unique because we prioritize relationships and personal connection over just closing a deal. There have been multiple times when I have approached my boss with ideas or suggestions of ways that I can help my clients when they need it. She has always given me full support, even if my suggestion wasn’t going to be as beneficial to Vaco in that moment. We really strive to do what is right for our clients in the long term.
What is one thing you enjoyed learning since joining Vaco?
One thing I have learned since joining Vaco is that you can find a place to work where you don’t just feel like a number. There are companies out there that really care about each employee. I have found that at Vaco!
