What is the most rewarding part about working for a talent solutions firm?
I think the most rewarding part of working for a recruiting agency must be the people. Every day you get the opportunity to hear so many different stories and experiences from so many people. You are constantly in the position to help someone find their life’s work, and it constantly pushes you to work harder in your role!

Anyone hoping to join the Vaco team would have to demonstrate grit in every aspect of their lives, be a trustworthy individual, and most of all be empathetic. If you’re solid in all three of those traits, you’ll excel here!
What’s the secret to a great interview?
Be yourself. I know people say it all the time, but truly letting the interviewers see who you are will go a long way. Showing your confidence through your passion for your work lets the interviewers see how genuine and real you are and establishes such a great connection.
What’s the most important piece of professional/career advice you’ve ever received?
Be a sponge. Always be willing to learn from anyone and everyone; if you absorb as much knowledge as possible, you’ll know how to handle anything that is thrown at you!

The people. Since joining Vaco, I have found that every single person here has gone out of their way to engage with me and try to help me excel here. Whether it be setting aside time in their own busy schedules to teach me tips and tricks or taking me out to lunch to discuss different career objectives, I have found that every single person here truly wants to see me succeed. It isn’t often that you find a company where people value the success of everyone as a whole over meeting their own personal goals/metrics. I truly couldn’t have asked to join a better team.
