As the front desk coordinator, Molly is the first smiling face you’ll see when you walk through the doors at Vaco. Born and raised in Alabama, Molly made the big decision of moving to Nashville in 2020! In Molly’s spare time she enjoys traveling, trying out new spots in town, and cheering for the Crimson Tide.

What is your role at Vaco, and what do you do?
As Vaco’s front desk coordinator, I am the first point of contact for the Nashville office. An important part of my job is to ensure that our clients, candidates, and consultants feel welcomed and excited to be here from the moment they walk in until the moment they leave. I also assist with any tasks that may be needed to ensure that our Nashville office is running as smoothly as possible.
If you were recruiting someone to join the Vaco team, what are three traits you would want to see in this recruit?
The three traits I would want to see in a recruit would be a leader, positive attitude, and someone that loves people. I believe that the most valuable trait a candidate can possess is leadership because a leader is someone that people are drawn to and can trust when times get tough. Another important trait is a positive attitude – no one wants to be around a negative person; someone that can find the light in every situation is someone I want to work with! Lastly, someone that loves people will thrive here at Vaco. The company culture is something I have never experienced, and a recruit that loves people and works hard will succeed in everything they do!
What’s the secret to a great interview?
I think the most important thing is to be yourself during an interview. Do your best to make the interview conversational and build a relationship as much as you can with the time you have.
What’s the most important piece of professional/career advice you’ve ever received?
Show the people around you that you are loyal and genuinely care. Build relationships with others like you, people that are willing to go above and beyond in everything they do– you are who you surround yourself with, and those will be your peers down the road.
“Never lose sight of the fact that the most important yardstick of your success will be how you treat other people – your family, friends, and coworkers, and even strangers you meet along the way.” – Barbara Bush
What is one thing you enjoyed learning since joining Vaco?
I have really enjoyed learning about the staffing industry in general. Before Vaco, I did not really understand the impact they really had, but after being here, I realized how much you are able to help people find the job they love!
We know Vaco is your dream job, but if you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
I worked in the communications office for Alabama Athletics in college, so being a Director of Communications for a professional sports team would be awesome.
