Tom’s career includes 24 years with a Fortune 100 financial services organization where he was recognized for reducing the number of data centers from 27 to 4, significantly reducing the cost of IT within his organization. He also worked for a large transportation company where he implemented a second data center to mitigate risk to the company. He was also responsible for data security and legislative compliance which included the implementation of necessary controls and procedures to meet the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley.
Tom went on to join a Big 4 Firm Advisory Practice. His area of concentration was IT Performance Improvement. He worked with clients in the utility, oil and gas, healthcare, non-profit, and financial services sectors. Next, Tom joined a small, data center co-location company where he was responsible for the centers in South Texas. He also led the integration effort when the company was acquired by a large telecommunication company.
Most recently, Tom was CIO for a global commercial print company. While there he developed an allocation methodology to distribute IT costs to the operating entities. In addition, he reorganized IT in preparation for the sale of the company. Post sale, he led the effort to integrate the two IT organizations.
Tom received his BA in Political Science from Fairfield University. He also completed company designed programs at Northwestern University’s Kellogg business school and SMU’s Cox business school. He is a Certified Insurance Data Manager and a past board member of the Insurance Data Manager Association.
