If our clients are able to find talent more effectively and also find some joy in the process, I’ve done my job.
Ever dream of quitting your corporate gig to start a business from scratch around a kitchen table? Jay Hollomon could tell you a story or two about that. As Executive Advisor, Co-Founder and Board Member, Jay has dedicated nearly twenty years to finding the right mix of career adventurers, corporate outlaws and business experts to propel the company steadily upward and keep the journey interesting along the way.
Perhaps most importantly, Jay has learned that attracting the best talent in the market starts with developing the best professionals in the business. He works closely with local leadership to train, coach and mentor our own teams so we can build stronger, better relationships with the clients and candidates we serve.
Jay began his career in public accounting at Nashville’s Arthur Andersen firm, then shifted in the mid-1990s to a senior role at an S&P 500 staffing and consulting firm where he rose quickly through the management ranks. In 2002, he took a leap of faith and left his position as Division Director to found Continuum Search with Brian Waller; in 2004, the company merged with Vaco Resources to become Vaco. The rest, as they say, is history.
Jay holds a Certified Public Accountant Certificate and is a member of the AICPA; he has served on numerous committees at both the state and local levels of the TSCPA. He wishes he could type faster and holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He currently serves as an Executive Board Member of the Middle Tennessee Council Boy Scouts of America and commits his personal support to local and national charitable organizations such as American Heart Association, Woodmont Christian Church, and Kidsave.
Jay lives in Nashville with his wife Meredith and their two children. Oh, and his first concert? That’d be Elvis, thankyaverymuch.
