An energy organization backed by a New York-based private equity firm was facing rapid growth and needed to transition from an on-premises managed service provider (MSP) model to a modern, in-house cloud and data environment. Its legacy systems, fragmented reporting, and limited security posture hindered scalability, innovation, and visibility across operations. Our solution
Vaco partnered with the energy company to deliver a multi-phase technology transformation, rebuilding the IT function and modernizing its cloud, data, AI, and security capabilities. The engagement began by migrating core systems from a legacy, on-premises environment to a scalable Azure hybrid cloud, creating a foundation that could grow with the company’s rapid expansion.
To unify operations and enhance decision-making, Vaco helped the company establish a centralized data architecture in Microsoft Fabric, providing real-time analytics and reporting across the organization. Custom AI solutions in Azure AI Foundry were deployed to automate workflows and optimize field operations, ensuring technology directly supported operational efficiency.
Team collaboration and communication were enhanced through the development of mobile applications and the launch of a SharePoint Online environment, giving employees seamless access to information and workflows.
