Arizona Ethics: Rules of Conduct for Arizona CPAs & Putting Your Ethical Framework Into Practice

Part 1 Program Description

In this webinar we will discuss nationally recognized codes of conduct and emphasize how they relate to professional behavior and responsibilities. We will also discuss Arizona statutes and administrative rules.

Learning Objectives

In this session, you will:

  • Learn to cite nationally recognized codes of conduct.
  • Recognize the range of requirements professionals must adhere to when complying with nationally recognized codes of conduct.
  • Understand nationally recognized codes of conduct and how their principles relate to your roles and responsibilities as an Arizona CPA.
  • Understand Arizona statutes and administrative rules.
  • This activity fulfills the Arizona board’s annual minimum 50-minute ethics CPE requirement. *Other states are welcome to register. However, please confirm with your local Board of Accountancy that this meets your ethics requirements.

*Note: We will take a break from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm

Part 2 Program Description

In this webinar, we will use the framework developed in session one to explore case studies that show us how to adhere to our professional responsibilities and uphold the integrity of the accounting profession.

Learning Objectives

In this session, you will:

  • Recognize the root cause of ethical dilemmas in the accounting profession.
  • Classify case studies into categories in order to identify how to apply the ethical framework we develop in the first session titled "Rules of Conduct for Arizona CPAs".
  • This activity fulfills the Arizona board’s annual minimum 50-minute ethics CPE requirement. *Other states are welcome to register. However, please confirm with your local Board of Accountancy that this meets your ethics requirements.

How to earn your credit:

  • Participants of the live broadcast are eligible to receive 4 CPE credits in Regulatory Ethics. You will need to attend for 200+ minutes and answer 12+ polling questions for CPE credits.
  • Partial credit will not be offered.
  • For the best experience, we recommend attending the webinar on a desktop or laptop using a Chrome browser.
