About Sami

Sami is a graduate from Ohio University and works on Vaco Columbus’ technology team as a Senior Technical Recruiter. Outside of work, you can find Sami exploring the city or at a concert/festival. She enjoys wine tasting and spending time with her amazing friends!

What is the most rewarding part about your job?

The most rewarding part of being a recruiter is the impact I get to have on my candidates’ careers. Helping people achieve their personal goals in many different phases of their career makes me excited to come to work every day! That, along with the amazing connections I’ve made along the way!

What’s the most important piece of professional/career advice you’ve ever received?

To be coachable! Listen, seek ways to improve, and accept feedback.

What is something you can do better than anyone else you know?

I am the funniest person I know!

We know Vaco is your dream job, but if you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

A Music Film Director. I feel like I’ve got a good “ear” for it.

What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to learn?

I would love to learn how to DJ!
