LOS ANGELES – Aug. 10, 2020 – Vaco, a talent and solutions firm that provides consulting, contract and direct hire solutions to more than 40 markets around the globe, has been named as one of the Best Places to Work in Los Angeles. This is Vaco’s 12th consecutive year to be named to this notable list, previously being listed four times at number one, as surveyed annually by Best Companies Group for the Los Angeles Business Journal.
The Best Places to Work in Los Angeles survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in Los Angeles, benefiting the county’s economy, workforce and businesses. The list is made up of 100 Los Angeles companies in small, medium and large employer categories. Los Angeles is a key growth market for Vaco, which has experienced rapid expansion, serving more than 800 clients and placing more than 5,000 candidates since its opening in 2006.
This award is extremely meaningful to Vaco because of its core promise: no matter where someone is in their life, when they come to Vaco, they should come with the opportunity to retire there. This means upholding an autonomy of like-minded players who come together in the spoils of victory and who foster an environment in which all employees [Vaconians] can reach their highest potential.
“In this challenging environment, I’m humbled to be a part of this prestigious list and congratulate our team on placing among LA’s top employers for the 12th year running,” said Frances Moreno, managing partner of Vaco’s Los Angeles office. “Our team and the community we serve have shown tremendous resilience and positivity this year during an unprecedented era in our lifetime, and I’d like to thank everyone for making this company thrive with vitality and distinction.”
Companies from across the county entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Los Angeles. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics, and was worth approximately 25 percent of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience, which was worth approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings.
To be considered for participation, companies had to be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity, be a publicly or privately held business, have a facility in Los Angeles, have at least 15 employees in Los Angeles, and be in business a minimum of one year.
