SAN DIEGO – May 7, 2020 – Vaco, a talent and solutions firm that provides consulting, contract and direct hire solutions to more than 40 markets around the globe, has named Chelsea Sanger, a veteran executive and accounting leader, managing partner in its San Diego office as it grows across the city and nation.
Sanger joined Vaco in 2016 and previously served as the team’s managing director. She brings 10 years of progressive audit and accounting experience to her new role at the company, where she will help chart the future growth and vision.
Vaco has also bolstered its San Diego technology division by naming Shriya Chhotray director of technology to expand the division and services it offers to clients in Southern California and across the state. That division offers a range of services – IT, help desk, software development and software engineer placement – to strengthen its existing areas of expertise, including accounting and finance, human resources, administration and operations.

Prior to joining Vaco, Sanger was an internal audit manager at Intuit, where she gained extensive experience performing risk assessments, operational audits, and auditing internal controls over all areas of financial reporting and finance operations. She began her career as an audit associate at KPMG in San Diego.

Throughout her career, Sanger has learned the importance of building talented, cohesive, engaged, and high-performing teams. She and her team focus on understanding each client’s specific needs and company culture and carefully identify qualified candidates to ensure clients are receiving highly qualified individuals to meet their needs. She specializes in connecting clients with talented accounting, audit, and finance professionals.
Sanger is a licensed certified public accountant (CPA) and received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of San Diego.
