Vaco Promotes Josh Haymond to Managing Partner in Raleigh to Drive Continued Growth

RALEIGH, N.C. – Oct. 5, 2021 – Vaco, a talent solutions firm that provides consulting, contract and direct hire solutions around the globe, has promoted Josh Haymond to managing partner of its Raleigh, North Carolina office. Previous managing partner, Sid Mitchener, will take on an expanded role at Vaco Holdings and will continue to serve as senior vice president and executive partner.

Haymond joined Vaco in 2013 as a senior leader of Raleigh’s accounting and finance practice, assisting clients with engaging top-tier consultants and full-time professionals. He has been a top performer in the Raleigh office since 2015, finishing as a top 10 overall producer among Vaco’s more than 500 producers in the last four years. In 2020, Haymond won a Vaco global award for his attention and passion for client relationships and strategic partnerships.

Prior to joining Vaco, Haymond, a licensed CPA, spent five years in public accounting working with both PwC and KPMG in Raleigh, assisting clients through transactions including initial public offerings, mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, and bankruptcy proceedings. He leverages his background and expertise to drive success in understanding clients’ pain points, assessing the skills and competencies of candidates and ensuring clients are receiving highly qualified professionals to meet their needs.

Mitchener previously served as managing partner, where he oversaw the leadership team and managed new business opportunities in addition to day-to-day strategies for Vaco’s operations in North Carolina. As one of the top producers in the information technology (IT) practice, he has spent the last 10 years assisting in the progression of the sector across Vaco’s offices. Mitchener co-founded Vaco’s Raleigh office in 2004. In his new role as senior vice president and executive partner, Mitchener will provide strategic guidance for continued growth across Vaco’s offices, including the North Carolina teams, as well as maintain his focus on serving Vaco’s clients across the globe.
