What is the most rewarding part about working for a recruiting agency?
For me, the most rewarding part about working for a recruiting agency, like Vaco, is seeing how genuine relationships between companies and organizations can lead to helping the Nashville job market and community as a whole.
If you were recruiting someone to join the Vaco team, what are three traits you would want to see in this recruit.
Devoted, genuine and persistent.
What is your role at Vaco, and what do you do?
As the Event Coordinator for our Nashville office I am responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating various types of internal and external events that take place at our office or in the community.
What’s the most important piece of professional/career advice you’ve ever received?
Every person you meet is a potential door to a new opportunity personally or professionally. Build good bridges even in that “just for now job,” because you never know how they’ll weave into the larger picture of your life.
What do you think is unique about the culture at Vaco compared to other staffing agencies?
The culture at Vaco is truly incomparable. The ability each one of us has to be ourselves, or as we like to say, “free ourselves,” at the office is something that I believe is unmatched in this industry.
What is something you can do better than anyone else you know?
Plan events! Or, drink wine…depends on the day!
