Roles to support strategic firm initiatives and growth
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Apr 4, 2023 – Vaco, a global talent solutions firm providing consulting, contract and direct-hire services to more than 40 markets around the globe, has named Kevin Witt as president and promoted Sid Mitchener and Kyle Allen to newly created positions of executive vice president of strategy and operations and executive vice president of sales and recruiting, respectively.

Sid Mitchener, executive vice president, strategy and operations: in his new role, Sid will focus his efforts on driving overall strategy, operational best practices and consistency within the Vaco brand. Working with local Vaco office leadership and the Vaco Holding’s People Team, Sid will lead the efforts in designing frameworks for on-going talent development, succession and office leadership structures to facilitate growth. Sid has been an integral part of Vaco since 2004, first as a managing partner in the Raleigh office, then as a senior managing partner working with the Charlotte and Greensboro offices, to most recently serving as senior vice president and executive partner. Sid’s innovation and entrepreneurial spirit is strong, fostering the development, growth and launch of the BUILT brand by Jake Shepherd.
Kyle Allen, executive vice president, sales and recruiting: in Kyle’s new role, his focus will be top line growth initiatives, culture reinforcement, employee engagement and recognition. With an emphasis on sales enablement, Kyle will work with Vaco anchor partners and line of business leaders to establish engagement, goals and targets, training objectives and ways to celebrate the wins along the journey. Kyle joined Vaco in 2012 after serving as auditor at Ernst & Young and managing director of executive recruiting at Crowe Horwath; he became anchor partner of the Vaco Nashville office in 2016, and then senior vice president and executive partner in 2021.
Prior to joining Vaco in 2004, Kevin served as a senior manager in Ernst & Young’s tax consulting practice. He has held a variety of leadership positions throughout the nearly two decades he has been with Vaco, most recently serving as the chief operating officer. He has been pivotal to Vaco’s growth to-date, and as president will focus on the continued expansion of the strategic staffing business and furthering collaboration with Vaco Holding’s portfolio of consultative brands.
