Diane's role as an IT recruiter at Vaco is the perfect compliment to her strong technical background in Database Analysis/Design, and experience as a Business Analyst and Project Manager. She was a previous Vaco consultant who was recruited to join the internal team because of her success as an IT professional. "I am passionate about technology and am a people person at heart. The best thing about my job at Vaco is that it combines the two traits while allowing me the ability to shape the professional careers of my candidates."

Diane's outgoing personality combined with her warmth and compassionate attitude towards her candidates is well known throughout the city and admired by her Vaco Mid-South co-workers. "I am not a sales person, and I am not your typical recruiter who matches keywords without understanding the roles I am trying to fill. I listen to my candidates so that I understand what they have done in the past and what they want to do in the future. I also try to take into account their personality, the environments they flourish in, and their long term career goals which allows me to make a better placement for my clients. In short, I don't find people a job - I help find them a path where they can continue to grow their technical career."

Diane considers herself to be a little "geeky" and still dabbles in application and database development to ensure that she stays current with the latest technologies. She attended Christian Brothers University and holds a MCP certification. She was one of the founding members of the Memphis Java User's Group (MJUG) and is also active in the IIBA, the Memphis .NET User's Group, and the PASS (SQL Server) User Group. Outside of technology, Diane is a Daisy Girl Scout Troop Leader (#10478) and is very active in her parish's church and school, St. Anne on Highland.

Some people may describe Diane as being one of the most networked recruiters in the city, but in reality, Diane says that she is just trying to avoid making dinner and doing housework. :)
