The Epic Project Manager will be responsible for oversight and management of projects related to systems implementation, support and quality assurance in a specific assigned area, such as Ambulatory, Revenue Cycle, Inpatient and Ancillary Systems. While managing timelines, resources and budgets, you will oversee project communication strategies including the use of websites, email and printed materials. You will work closely with other managers and team members to ensure tasks are clearly defined and completed on schedule, and to ensure issues are logged and resolved in a timely manner. Your supervisory role will involve a matrix reporting arrangement of analysts and consultants; you will also collaborate with Medical Center leadership to align the work of the systems groups with the strategic goals of the enterprise.
You will be responsible for providing recommendations relative to scope, integration and design decisions to our Epic project leadership. You will be expected to become knowledgeable in our organizational processes, policies, procedures and business operations as they relate to the Epic project.
- At least 4 years of project management experience in a health care environment.
- You MUST also have at least 4 years experience working with assigned Epic module (technical and functional)
- At least 4 years experience working and/or leading in a health care environment directly impacting the assigned area.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, Epic Certification and an MBA are all preferred.
